Treatment Modalities

COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (CBT)

CBT is an evidence-based treatment that addresses the thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes that relate to the way we behave.  The treatment is a skills-based intervention that focuses on these cognitions and behaviors as a way of dealing with emotional problems, in addition to a variety of other difficulties including pain management and sleep problems.

MINDFULNESS BASED INTERVENTIONS

Mindfulness training can help us build awareness of our internal experiences. Research has shown that mindfulness can be a useful tool on its own or in addition to other therapeutic interventions.

ACCEPTANCE AND COMMITMENT THERAPY (ACT)

ACT is a behavioral therapy that utilizes mindfulness and acceptance to increase openness and "psychological flexibility" to more thoughtfully influence our behaviors and increase life satisfaction.

This treatment focuses on Accepting your reactions and focusing on the present moment, Choosing what you value, and Taking action toward living in service of what is important to you.
